What does the course cover?
Discover and discuss a good read! Aimed specifically at those getting to grips with a spanish novel, the group will tackle a contemporary read, supported by notes and comprehension tasks at home. Meeting monthly, club members will come together to discuss the plot, the characters and clarify meaning, discussing and evaluating their responses together.
What will I read?
The next Book Club reads Un sac de billes by Joseph Joffo.
Un sac de billes is a Second World War autobiographical novel by the French author. It tells the story of his flight, as a small boy, with his brother Maurice to escape from Nazi occupied France to the Zone Libre.
Is the course at the right level for me?
For this course you should be able to discuss the book in relation to the plot, characters and structure, expressing opinions about the book you have read. You should feel comfortable describing the experiences and events of the book and dreams, hopes and ambitions of the main characters.
This course works towards Level B2+ of the Common European Framework for Languages standards.

The group will choose the next book to read in the Spring months.
