What does the course cover?
Are you intrigued by the French attitude to life, love and politics? This lively evening Intermediate Plus/Advanced course will grow your skills and deepen your grasp of French culture. Get to know France better, discover its character, dialect, gastronomy and traditions with our expert tutors. Read and debate short stories and comment on news articles and topical issues.
The course is communicative in approach focusing on speaking and listening, employs a range of participative activities, and consolidates existing knowledge of intermediate grammar structures before extending to new structures.

Is the course at the right level for me?
Yes, if you have completed an intermediate course and have a sound grasp of basic grammar structures and are comfortable dealing with day-to-day situations and routines. You will be able to describe circumstances, express and justify your opinions and will be able to cope adequately in unpredicted scenarios.
What will I achieve?
You will build confidence to debate, discuss, persuade, comment and marshal arguments in a wide range of contexts whilst deepening your knowledge of the French culture.
This course works towards Level B2 of the Common European Framework for Languages standards.
