What does the course cover?
In six short weeks you can start learning Italian and quickly gain the practical speaking and listening skills you'll need to cope on holiday when socialising and travelling in Italy or speaking to Italian relatives online. We offer a relaxed and informal approach to help support, inspire and excite you!
The course is communicative in approach and is designed to help you develop speaking and listening skills through a range of fun, participative activities, while introducing you inductively to the building blocks of language and the key structures of basic grammar .

Is the course at the right level for me?
This course is intended for those with no previous knowledge or those wishing to start at the beginning and progress at absolute beginner pace.
What will I achieve?
By the end of the course you will know how to order drinks and food at a café, exchange greetings, get directions and share basic personal information. You will also have been inductively introduced to the following elements of grammar.
Phonology:basic souonds and pronunciation;grammar - basic word order, common sentence patterns,common nouns, numerals,measure words,personal pronoins and demonstratives, basic expressions of description,definite and indefinite articles,registers, questionformation,negation,noun endings, adjectoval agreement, indicative present tense of core and irregular verbs 1-3ps, numbers,alphabet, emotional expression,body languages,
This course works towards Level A1 of the Common European Framework for Languages standards.

Once you have completed this first module of a beginners course you will be ready for the second beginners module.
