What does the course cover?

This easy access lunchtime course is ideal if you want to acquire the practical speaking and listening skills needed to cope with day-to-day scenarios when socialising and travelling abroad and already have a few basics under your belt.

The course is communicative in approach focusing on speaking and listening, and employing a range of participative activities. Key structures of basic grammar are introduced inductively. 

Is the course at the right level for me?

This course is intended for those with a little prior knowledge or those wishing to start near the  beginning and progress at beginner pace.You should be able to meet and greet, exchange basic personal info(name,address,telephonenumber,nationality,occupation,marital status,talk about family and pets); cope at a coffee bar and  get about town.

What will I achieve?

On this course you will learn how to make purchases, obtain goods and services, obtain key information from the tourist office, order and eat out at the restaurant, make arrangements for an evening out, chat at a social occasion.
