What does the course cover?
This easy access lunchtime course is ideal for language first-timers who want to acquire the practical speaking and listening skills needed to cope with day-to-day scenarios when socialising and travelling abroad.
The course is communicative in approach focusing on speaking and listening, employs a range of participative activities, and introduces key structures of basic grammar inductively.

Is the course at the right level for me?
This course is intended for those with no previous knowledge or those wishing to start at the beginning and progress at absolute beginner pace.
What will I achieve?
By the end of the course you will know how to order drinks and food at a café, exchange greetings, get directions and share basic personal information.
This course works towards Level A1 of the Common European Framework for Languages standards.

Once you have completed this first module of a beginners course you will be ready for the second beginners module.
