What does the course cover?
This easy access course is ideal for improvers at post-beginner level who want to consolidate and extend the practical speaking and listening skills needed to cope with day-to-day scenarios, consolidate knowledge of basic grammar and build their knowledge of intermediate level grammar.
The course is communicative in approach focusing on speaking and listening (with intersessional reading and writing tasks), employs a range of participative activities, and introduces key structures of basic grammar inductively.

Is this course the right level for me?
This course is intended for those who have completed a beginners course, have equivalent experience or are returning to learning having learnt at a higher level in the past. You should have confidence in using the present tense accurately and present perfect to talk about what you have done and some familiarity with future tense to describe future plans.
What will I achieve?
At the end of this course you will have more confidence in moving between tenses to talk about the present, the past and use the future tense. You will be able demonstrate understanding of the different functions of the the imperfect tense.
This course works towards Level A2 of the Common European Framework for Languages standards.

This course provides the building blocks to enable learners to progress to the next stage of the post-beginner programme: talking about future plans and organising things.
