Who is the trainer?
Hilda is a highly experienced Spanish teacher at all levels including GCSE, A level business and lifelong learning. She holds a degree in Spanish language, literature and philosophy from her native country Peru and has been teaching languages in the UK for over 30 years. Teaching both groups and on a one-to-one basis, Hilda's experience is broad and includes holding the position of Head of Spanish at a local secondary school.She loves teaching and her aim is to use all her expertise to enable students to achieve their goals.

What does the course cover?

This easy access evening course is ideal for language 'false beginners' who want to acquire the practical speaking and listening skills needed to cope with day-to-day scenarios when socialising and travelling abroad.

The course is communicative in approach focusing on speaking and listening, employs a range of participative activities, and introduces key structures of basic grammar inductively.

Is the course at the right level for me?

This course is intended for those who have some basic prior learning  having visited the country or studied independently. You will be able to exchange personal information (name, address, telephone number, nationality, family, pets) get about town and order a coffee in a coffee shop, obtain good and services using date, time and currency to make bookings. You will be familiar with pronunciation, the alphabet and basic number.  Please contact us on 01483 768500 regarding suitability.(approx 20 learning hours minimum of tuition/guided learning)

What will I achieve?

By the end of the course you will know how to cope in a range of situations - eating out, obtaining tourist information, taking about free time and hobbies, making arrangements, accepting and declining invitations, talking about yourself and your family, decribing daily routine and what you usually do. Begin to talking about wher you've been and what you've done. 

What next?

Once you have completed this second module of a beginners course you will be ready for the third beginners module.
